Description of the Experience
Maths is usually at the top when it comes to difficult school subjects because it is felt like very abstract and not related to the real world. Some teachers usually start with exercises and problems. Other teachers rely on more concrete things to make formulas and concepts more accessible and easier. I remember in middle school our teacher spent a lot of them with us when she first introduced geometrical shapes. We started from objects in the classroom and their shapes; then we added other objects of similar shapes to the existing list. We also had a very nice craft class where we made several animals in the shapes learned during the Maths class.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
