Description of the Experience
Our teacher once told us to bring newspapers, paint, scissors and colored paper for the math lesson. We painted, cut out and ripped out variety of cool things. It turned out that we created the symmetry. Teacher showed us the movie about mirror, radial and rotational symmetry. On the basis of this information, we had to look for the axis of symmetry in a variety of cool pictures given to us by teacher, drew with the help of mirrors different symmetrical patterns on a sheet of dots. Once we learned to maintain symmetry only in the colors of painting symmetrical mandalas. We did a lot of exercise. But most interesting was the work with Tess program. Cool images were created by symmetry just only after a few lines. Teacher told us to draw 15 images using symmetry. Since then, I know what the different types of symmetries are about and I do not think I will have problem with it.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
