Description of the Experience
Teaching science I encounter such a problem as weak basic knowledge in chemistry. So I should start with the revision of the primary school course which slows down the process. There are cases when I have to teach the primary school course once again. Students often cannot comprehend the study material, as a result , I return to one theme repeatedly.
It is dificult to keep student attention during the lessons. As themes become more difficult and they have to go into detailed study of the processes , they lose their interest and do not want to listen.
Technically , students have difficulties with doing reaction equations , recognition of the formulas of
salts, bases, oxides etc. Some students even do not know the symbols of the chemicalelements which is the very beginning of chemistry.
In order to improve this situation a little bit I try to use the latest technologies during the study process. I use interactive whiteboard, videomaterials, presentations etc.
In order to motivate the students to learn the topic better the correction of their tests takes place in their presence. During this process the mistakes are anlyzed. In my opinion, it is important not only to teach the material and make them retell it , but also create their interest and keep their attention. We are working on it.

Poor bsic knowlwdge for students is also a problem in my subjects. We strive to deal with the consequences of elementary school teachers. Teaching substance, very often we have to return to the primary themes. In this case, really useful are videos, where themes are well explained with visual examples and visual information will always remain in the memory of the best. Also, I use videos because they can help the students better understand the topic, and it is possible faster to move on to the next topic.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
