Description of the Experience
In the first classes of the Lower Secondary School I conduct “stop cyberbullying” workshops every year. Students like to use new technologies and unfortunately they have contact with the internet hazards. One of the topics is ‘The safety of data and law-abiding in the network’. I made a questionnaire about a cyberbullying and I realized that students have some problems like jokes, camera recording without their permission or they have witnessed this kind behavior in previous schools. I have cooperated with psychologist and we teach in 90 minutes lesson. First, students watch a short movie, where we can hear story of: victim, witness and a bully of the cyberbullying procedure. We talk about tools that young people use and I talk about rules regarding safety of the internet use. Psychologist talks about emotional matters of victim, witness and the bully of the cyberbullying. Additionally, I invite police officers before a lesson, who talk about legal matters of this crime. From the first moment when I implement this lesson to the educational declaration of school policy, students know how to behave in the internet and where they can find help. I am an author of the article “Safe in the network” and you can read this article on the website of the school. I have uploaded some information on how to protect our computers and data. This is an obligatory reading, which I use on the ICT lessons.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
