Description of the initiative
The project is aimed at preparing activities focusing on the development of key and subject competencies of the secondary school students. The project aims to develop a set of interactive demonstration experiments, laboratory exercises and activities focusing on video measuring of selected physical phenomena with a computer support, preparation of worksheets and accompanying methodological materials for teachers of physics. An integral part of the project is the preparation of physics teachers for implementing these activities in physics education through workshops followed up by testing of the familiar methodology in teaching.
The main objective of the project is the preparation of activities aimed at developing key and subject competencies of the students and preparing physics teachers from practice to use such activities in the educational process.
This objective will be realized through the following sub-objectives:
• studies and research projects carried out abroad aimed at interactive demonstration experiment, laboratory exercises and computer assisted video measuring
• create a set of activities - interactive demonstration of laboratory experiments and computer assisted laboratory exercises
• create a file of video measuring activities aimed at active learning of students in computer-supported laboratory of mechanics from the recording of appropriate physical phenomena (also using high-speed cameras) all the way to preparation of activities using appropriate software for processing
• prepare written materials to designed activities (worksheets and accompanying methodological materials for teachers of physics)
• realize workshops of the teachers aimed at learning the methodology of physics education through the proposed activities
• provide teachers with the opportunity to test the methodology acquired under real teaching in computer-assisted laboratory
• publish all proposed activities and written materials on the internet (or. Offline version on CD-ROM)
More Information
The project originated at the Department of Physics UPJ in Kosice, at the department you can find links and information on other activities and projects - the use of multimedia in education - http://physedu.science.upjs.sk/vmv/index.php, further it is the project of teaching physics by programming models of physical phenomena - http://physedu.science.upjs.sk/modelovanie/index.html, then it is the project Interactive computer - supported activities as a means of developing key and subject competencies for secondary school students and their implementation in teaching physics - http://physedu.science.upjs.sk/odf/zj_kega2/index.htm as well as various teaching materials such as Mechanics of liquids and gases - http://physedu.science.upjs.sk/kvapaliny/index.htm.
Teachers’ Opinion
Very good site for teachers of physics, I have personally been using this site for several years, it provides great information on new trends in teaching physics at secondary and primary schools as well as the possibility for physics teachers to share experiences of teaching physics and new learning and teaching materials in clubs.
Students’ Opinion
The portal is designed more for physics teachers but there can also be found information for students who are interested in physics also outside the classroom.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
