Description of the educational product
The educational product is addressed to upper secondary school students between 16 and 17 years old.
The aim of an educational model is to illustrate a scientific concept through an image that has been chosen by a student.
In this specific model the scientific operating of burning glass is explained.
Once the model has been developed, the student presents it to the classmates asking for their opinion about the usability of the model itself. The discussion, moderated by the teacher, is a training moment and a good opportunity for him to explain the scientific concept and also evaluate the students’ interaction.

This model is almost relevant, because image shows only one sun's ray. If we could make correction and add some more sun's rays, it would be perfect product.
Model helps to overcome student's lack of motivation to study, because it shows experiment what is easy to make and students love things like making fire from sun, because that includes some kind of action.

I know the story of Archimedes who beat the Roman fleet with mirrors and it was interesting for me to see that this example could be used also in physics. I like this model because it is related to real life events. When there is connection between what we learn in school and some actual event I remember more easily the theory.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
