Goerudio has many strength points. Above all because it allows the sharing of didactic. Thanks to the materials on portal, I learnt about my European colleagues’ working methods. The website, very clear and full of material, is a real interactive working tool. In addition, the use of different sheet for teachers and for students allows having a direct feedback about the effectiveness of the methodologies experimented in class. In effect, in the case of students’ negative feedback, the teachers are forced to rethink on their teaching method and, eventually, to find new approaches. Goerudio proposed a path that I want to continue even after the project end.

The project portal contains a lot of information for the teachers, which is very helpful. There are such innovative approaches discussed in the relevant initiatives. I particularly find the option of having access in one place to all initiatives very useful. Furthermore it is useful to see the initiatives commented from other teachers.

I think that shearing experiences among teachers and also students can help to improve pedagogical process especially in teaching and working with students with lower level of knowledge. Some students are very successful and they can perceive information easily but some need different and more creative approach. There I can find information and suggestions from other teachers as well as good information on other projects.

As a School Director of a private institution where the study of sciences – especially of Maths – is of great relevance for the national evaluations and for the entry of our students in the lower secondary schools of high ranking, the project Goerudio is a positive example of diversification and personalization. Our teachers are always in search of new approaches to make math and the sciences more palatable to young children and the site of this project offers a good repository of interesting approaches to sciences relevant to young students. Thank you for this to the collectors that have made up the selection.

Teachers and students are asked to highlight the obstacles and difficulties they encounter, share experiences that worked very well and then within the new community created to explore and analyze each other’s experiences as well as new European projects on teaching science. The ambitious idea is to collect and pool the best workable solutions to teaching science. What I particularly appreciate about the Goerudio project is its attempt at creating a learning community: teachers and students from Europe join their efforts to make science accessible, easy and pleasant to study.

I investigated Projects/initiatives and there is a lot of interesting links where I can get information. A lot of implemented projects and methods reveal on creativity involvement in study process, as well us in teaching science. On every Project/initiative I can also read reviews from students thus I know if they would like any kind of learning or not. The other thing what is useful on the Goerudio project homepage is descriptions of experiences. It is possible to comment and therefore make discussions with colleagues.

My attention caught descriptions of students’ experiences. It is interesting to read and to learn that I am not the only one who experience similar problem in learning process. Project home page provides information that is more interesting for teachers, I guess. But I use Facebook.com and it is good opportunity to follow Goerudio page on Facebook. I am follower of different interesting pages and I like that I can read news on my wall also about science and subjects related to technology.

I am a teacher of mathematics in primary school, but at the same time I conduct individual classes with students from lower secondary school. The portal is valuable resource of didactic methods and teaching materials. I found information on interesting mathematical games. Mathematics becomes more attractive if we can play with it. Mathematical games and plays help students to develop combination thinking, stimulate intellectual activity and the will of self-overcoming difficulties.

As a Lecturer of Oenology at the University of Agricultural Studies and Veterinary Medicine is of great relevance for the specialized study that follows in the second and third years for our students, the project Goerudio is a positive example of how to motivate our students to learn. Our students are very oriented towards the practical application of their studies so all the examples offered by the big inventory of approaches created by Goerudio and which anchor knowledge in real life applications and liaises it with specific skills, seem to be very suitable for our students.

For me as teacher on vocational secondary school is most useful section with teacher’s experiences from partners’ countries. In this section I can find many very useful tips and focusing on new approaches in teaching many scientific topics and for me especially biology. Web page is very clear for me and useful friendly in orientation. Very important are comments to this experiences from other teachers because in many are can find other opinion for my teaching problems.

From my point of view, as a teacher who educates future science subjects´ teachers, I consider connection of the university environment with the elementary and secondary schools and transmission of the teachers´ and students´ experiences to be very beneficial. The involvement of the innovative educational methods to science education is very important too. Science subjects with their scholastic character have assumption to be interesting and this interest is needed to be built and developed from the lowest educational levels. The Goerudio project connects all these attributes and by reaching all the anticipated goals it can contribute to the desired achievement.

The project is a very good idea. The teaching in schools should more focus on comprehension. Not just learning by heart. Therefore we need more relations with real life when studying. Initiatives on the portal such as “E-experience in physics” enable us to understand science so the knowledge is easier to master.

The project encourages both teachers of science and their students across Europe to work together in order to identify and share innovative practices to make science more appealing to students. The e-learning project platform also enables teachers to cope with the major challenges they face as a result of the increasing speed of the development of scientific knowledge. The project also encourages the development of a strong learning community where students and teachers have the opportunity to discuss and find solutions in order to stimulate science learning. They work together to collect, review and share experiences related to the most effective and interactive approaches to the teaching and learning of scientific issues.

As a teacher on secondary school I appreciate Goerudio portal as very good place for exchange ideas for various activities, for education and for popularization of the scientific topics. In my opinion, the strength of the project is sharing of teaching materials and practical experience in science education and especially for “students` motivation”. I used some ideas to supplement my work in the classroom or to verify the acquisition of various concepts. What are very useful are many web pages from various countries as inspiration form ma work.

The Goerudio method from Latvian colleagues is suggestive because modelling and illustration offer supporting points for understanding of particular issues. Goerudio web portal provides the space for creating the community of teachers from various European countries. I am going to monitor the increasing information about projects and initiatives, teachers´ comments and also the way how coordinators from the big amount of suggestions are able to lead the teachers to get the achievable results. I´m looking forward to it too and I wish a lot of inspirations to involved teachers for their work.

For me as a teacher is very helpful to see shared practices of colleagues around Europe. Also to see comments of these practices and have the possibilities to comment myself. It is very practical to be able to search by topic and by language. I appreciate that teachers can use these initiatives to get ideas for how to improve their teaching methods and see new experiments that can be put in practice.

I found it very interesting for me to read about teachers’ experiences. There is a lot of information I can use as inspiration on my work and on my lessons with students. There is section of projects/initiatives carried out in the field of science. As I work in the school many years, I feel there is need for innovative teaching methodology. I found some interesting project home pages with a lot of information about methods and tools I can implement in teaching.

I am chemistry teacher on secondary vocational school and the most useful on this web page are for me teachers’ experiences. I can find opportunities and space to experiment different teaching approaches and methods in my everyday teaching and I can compare my approach to other from other countries how to teach chemistry better and with more motivation and atrractive for students. On web page in some iniciatives are very good practices on implementation of ICT in teaching process in science topics.

The experience done within the project Goerudio has been very interesting and challenging, useful for a personal and professional growth and an excellent support and updating tool for my teaching. The national workshops that I attended at Pixel in Florence and the experiences and initiatives published and reviewed on the website were an important opportunity to develop constructive insights on the strengths and weaknesses of my working method, but above all to meet new colleagues, both Italian and European, and to share with them experiences (successes and failures) and emotions.

I had the opportunity to experiment the Goerudio methodology with my students. More specifically I tried to guide them in the creation of models to explain physics concepts. It has been an interesting and surprising experience. It was the last hour of the day when students are generally tired and inattentive. On the contrary I was able to involve them in the activity. They worked alone or in groups comparing their ideas and discussing on the appropriateness of their models. Some of them were really good and some others helped me to understand students’ misconceptions. I am sure I will use it again!

The strength of this portal is to access a series of teaching experiences that may be quite different from what I'm used to in my methodologies. That has been a big impact on the continuous evolution of our teaching methodologies. It makes me reconsider how I do my task and changes plans. Another great feature of this portal is the acceptable translation of comments and experiences into several languages. It is far more usable than being only English.
Alicia Romero CorcolesSchool teacher

I'd like to point out the accessibility of the contents, both teacher experiences and student's. And the sufficient detail given so experiences can be replicated. As to the initiatives, maybe it is the best feature of this web. They can be accessed with an easy and intuitive manner. This way, a large database of European projects related to education can be looked up. The most important information is available to quickly summarize the main contents. The general information and documentation and the forum are correct and address the project needs.

I think the project is very interesting. To encourage students to learning is a difficult task. I liked some of the experiences of teachers: they are like an exchange of good practices. Also some of the initiatives that applied methodologies for e-learning. I think ICT tools should support an appropriate methodology. They are not efficient by themselves.

The Goerudio project is a very interesting initiative to support more practical oriented education in scientific topics and especially more understandable for students of vocational secondary school. We have problems with students after finishing the studies because they are not prepared for practical life and jobs in companies from the point to really understand problems and problem solving in mathematics, chemistry, physics etc. The project is very useful and we will use this methodology in our schools.

The project home page is rich of materials about methods used in teaching science subjects (initiatives). I can use some materials in my lessons to make learning more interesting for my students. Also created models are very good. I can use them to explain some themes and that makes my lessons more attractive. My students say that it is more fun and not boring. I suggested project home page also for my students. Those who are better in English say that they found some interesting information for them.

I personally found the project very interesting. I think it was appealing to a wide range of children too. The project and the portal draw attention to issues, which are often neglected in schools. I find most valuable the experiences written by users (teachers and students) since they add practical value supported by credible experience. This gives a strong point to any further work with educational resources and initiatives.

The whole project is very useful because I learned about many new teaching methods that enhance the learning process in my classes. Many ideas for further learning methods can be learned from the experiences of other teachers. It is appropriate to analyze the findings and to use his pedagogical improvement. Project home page is sufficiently simple and well understood, so that the first time you open it and know right how to navigate.

The portal is a useful resource, pulling together good practices and ideas for ongoing developments. It is helping to keep improving science teaching methods, increasing understanding of the reasons behind low motivation of students and providing information on proactive approaches to improve the teaching and learning process.

For me it is very interesting the availability of information about different activities in the project. For example, I like to read about virtual meetings and therefore I know opinion form other partners and teachers about work done in the project. It is interesting to see my work compering with others. The most important is that there is discussion about teaching and learning difficulties and how to deal with that. This model method is really good to make teaching and learning more attractive. Students evaluate it as very interesting and creative way to learn. They say it is more usable than just to listen a lecture, because creation of models makes you to think and do things by yourself. And this is good way how to acquire new themes.

The strength is the motivation for teachers in pedagogical problem identification and solution search. In all project partner countries the problems are similar, the exchange of experience are worthy in the project, as well as inspiration to carry out teaching activities more effectively. I had the opportunity to explore an interesting approach to learning - awareness-building and use of models. Partners very well managed the project, hopefully it will be continued in the future. The project home page is well organized, I like the possibility to comment on the website information.

I think that the Goerudio portal and project meet the needs of students and teachers in terms of science studying in schools. I think that experiences and models of practice, shared from teachers and student from the partner countries, are very close to some of the current situations I encountered in daily work with my classes. Another advantage of the site is the involvement of different educational cultures, even if the subject matter is science teaching and learning and we generally think science is the same everywhere.
Rumyana BukovalovaTeacher

The portal seems a very comprehensive platform - especially the parts of the initiatives and educational products, where multiple cases in different situations are shown and also highlight the different innovative approaches to teaching and learning science. An interesting strong point of the portal is that it contributes to a more positive view of the problems in teaching science in schools, giving ways of dealing with problems, especially motivation of students.

The aim of this project is to help students to make learning process more interesting and comprehensibility. Overall I try to teach them how to make simple and well understandable models for hard and uninteresting theory. Students made models about topics we learn in school based on some actual events, or daily things. When there is connection between what we learn in school and some actual event we remember more easily and brighter the theory. Then students edited each other work and presented their own models in front of the class and later we discussed about them. My opinion is that final debates are always a plus in a project. I think example like model is good type of teaching in schools for all age of students. Definitely I will use the best models in my lessons. This kind of learning is important to make the student participant of their knowledge, in order to feel motivated to move forward in the learning path. Biggest problems in this project were that in first minutes students were confused because this is something different. They often used to know only standard teaching process when teacher talk about some theory and explain it with examples.

What I most like about this project is that it really builds appropriate links between schools and world of work (linking theory with practice). And thus it is a positive example of how to motivate our students to learn. Our students are very oriented towards the practical application of their studies so all the examples offered by the big inventory of approaches created by Goerudio and which anchor knowledge in real life applications and liaises it with specific skills, seem to be very suitable for our students. It promotes mutually beneficial relationships between industry, scientific, academic and educational communities.

The study of sciences is is ranked highly in the national evaluations in our country. Our teachers are very interested in stimulating our students’ interest in science identifying new methods to make it more accessible. The project Goerudio model encourages learning through fun, which is based on comprehension and makes learning memorable. Using Goerudio models creates excellent atmosphere in the classroom, stimulates students’ creativity and motivation and encourages them to explore. Our teachers will use the models. Thank you very much!

The Goerudio Portal provides teachers with accessible and useful resources by creating links to other websites with interesting online interactive educational material (photos, videos, animations, exercises, graphs, links) and learning activities. The reviewed projects make science accessible and easy through videos; they provide reliable learning materials by using ICT, which enables students to visualize theoretical abstract concepts.

The project really helps disabled students with their science subject learning. Goerudio models are very simple, funny and deeply rooted in our students’ reality. They are accessible and memorable; thus, easily understood by our students. They help teachers to meet students’ special needs (disability as well as above average students). The project provides teachers with useful and challenging materials for students with learning disabilities, students who require special attention.

I believe there is a large variety of models and lesson plans from which some are extremely creative and well built. The clarity and the “memorable” element of some of the models really support the cause of this project, which is to make science understandable and to create new images in the mind of a science beginner. Good models stand out and really make the scientific meaning behind them more tangible.

The project encourages multilingualism through teachers’ and students’ cooperation. The materials created can also be used in a CLIL programme. Thus the project materials can b eexploited by language teachers as well. The Goerudio resources enable students to use language purposefully (defining a concept, explaining a phenomenon, describing a reaction). In a CLIL context they need to use the content language. Through CLIL students experience a language rich environment in the classroom through collaborative work. They move linguistically from everyday talk to academic speech.

I really appreaciatd the learning community created by the project. Teachers and studenst across Ewurope joined all their efforts in order to collect, review and share their learning/ teaching experiences. This resulted in collecting the most effective, interactive and innovative approaches to the teaching and learning of science. Thus, students and teachers benefited from the opportunity to access invaluable resources available at European level. Students worked together with the teachers; they got involved in challenging experiences, which made them respondible for their own learning process.

As teachers, we have to be prepared to meet the needs of children cognitively, socially and physically through activities that are designed to be developmentally appropriate. Learning through discovery is a motivating method of personalizing learning experiences, allowing the individual the opportunity to experiment and discover for themselves. This should become a fundamental teaching method in the educational process, especially for the science subjects, which are sometimes difficult to be understood by pupils. So the project idea is very good and inspiring, it contains a lot of challenging topics with high transferability potential in my classroom. It encourages interactive learning and critical thinking.

The content is of wide interest for a range of beneficiaries + surfing the portal is user friendly. I use it (with future teachers of English) as an example of innovative projects. A Goerudio model is an interesting exercise for the mind. It is innovative, intriguing, interesting, captivatingIt challenges students' mind; I think that Goerudio models offer plenty opportunities for students to exercise their creativity. It is also a lot of fun by making good use of humour and games.

The project makes science accessible and creative, gives the opportunity to pupils to challenge abstract concepts and make them more earthly, it explores science in a different manner. The fact that the students can express their own ideas and prove the understanding in a clear and out of the box method is crucial to learning science.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
