Final Conference in Riga The final conference took place in Riga on 27 November 2016. The conference had the aim to present the results of the project. All partners presented the activities from a national perspective and the project promoter presentation had the aim to give a transnational overview of the project. The conference was introduced by a representative of the Latvian Ministry of Education and a representative of European Educational Programmes Department director of State Education Development Agency in Latvia.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.

Final Conference The International Conference on "Forward to Comprehension Room" will take place in Riga State Technical School in Riga (LV), on 27 November 2015. The conference aims to present the successful experiences and the project results in the partner countries. This event is addressed to teachers, researchers and experts in the field of science education. Conference is funded by LLP Programme and the participation is free of charge.

National Seminars Partners are currently organising seminars at national level with the aim to present the results achieved by the Goerudio project. Suring the seminars, the teachers and the students involved in the project present the educational products developed according to the innovative methodologies exploited by the project.

Goerudio on Scientix Goerudio is now part of Scientix. Scientix promotes and supports a Europe-wide collaboration among STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) teachers, education researchers, policymakers and other STEM education professionals. A detailed description of the Goerudio project with a direct link to the portal is available on the the Scientix web site.

Educational Products Teachers and students involved in the project cooperated in order to produce Educational products to promote science education. The educational products consist in lesson plans, educational models, interactive science lessons, worksheet, etc.

Participation in the second Virtual Meeting According to the project aims, it was agreed that teachers involved in the project should participate in a transnational discussion on the initiatives to promote science education. The virtual meeting took place on 31 March 2015 and all the partners with a spoke person for the teachers at national level participated in it.

Workshops with teachers A number of workshops have been organised in all partners’ countries. Teachers have been involved in the workshops in order to carry out the project activities such as the reviews of the initiatives to promote science education.

Involvement as Associated Partners in the project A number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years. They include no profit associations, NGOs, training institutions, universities, public authorities, etc. The information about all associated partners is available on the project portal under the Associated Partners section.

Goerudio presented in Florence The Goerudio project was presented in the framework of the second edition of the International Conference “New Perspectives in Science Education” held on 20 – 21 March 2014. The conference brought together 150 participants from more than 50 countries.

Creation of the Network of Science Teachers The network of school teachers interested in identifying innovative teaching methodologies has been created. Almost 100 teachers and 2000 students from seven countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Spain) have officially formalized their interest in the participation in the Goerudio project with the aim to share their experiences and benefit from the activities that will be carried out in the project.

Kick off Partners Meeting Goerudio 1st Partners’ Meeting took place in Florence, Italy, on 20 – 21 February 2014. During the meeting the project partners presented the schools to be involved in the project and agreed on the activities to be carried out in the following months.

The Goerudio project The Goerudio project has been funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme – Transversal Programme – Key Activity 4 Multilateral Project. The aim of the project is to create a learning community of European science teachers and students willing to identify solutions to overcome the main obstacles related to scientific subjects studying.
