Description of the educational product
The educational product is addressed to upper secondary school students between 18 and 19 years old.
The aim of an educational model is to illustrate a scientific concept through an image that has been chosen by a student.
In this specific model the scientific concept of magnetism of material is explained.
Once the model has been developed, the student presents it to the classmates asking for their opinion about the usability of the model itself. The discussion, moderated by the teacher, is a training moment and a good opportunity for him to explain the scientific concept and also evaluate the students’ interaction.

Similar model is very often used by me in classrooms. It explains exactly how the magnetism of materials acts in nature. I think this is a good model that can be easy used. It helps to understand this teaching material.

After seeing the example materials of the Goerudio models, one of which was about magnetism I started thinking myself how to represent the notion. When students can see the notion presented in everyday objects it is easier for them to remember. I like this model about magnetism, because I think is correct in terms of theory and the model can even be represented with students participating in the setting.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
