Description of the Experience
Learning the substances of biological importance (proteins, sugars, fats) is useful to everyone. It is worth to get familiar with properties of these substances and how they can be used. I was happy to learn topics from this subject, because I want to use it in the future as my profession, which in particular is associated with the topic. The main reason that helped to understand the contents was my curiosity. Besides, I really liked and remembered the lessons, during which we performed chemical experiments, such as testing the solubility of fat and oil in water and gasoline; distinguishing oily substances from fat; detection of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen in the buckwheat while heating; detection of starch in the potato.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
