Description of the Experience
I'm not a good student when math is concerned and do not really like this subject. However, I'm a good football player. Playing soccer is my passion. It was very nice that the math teacher asked me to find elements of mathematics in football. I prepared a presentation, in which I showed my colleagues the sport from a mathematical point of view. For example, what shape of the playing field is, in which distances the lines are drawn, how to calculate the area of the pitch, which part of the field the field box is, etc. I made a lot of calculations to this presentation and thus unwittingly prepared to test in mathematics. I accomplished two huge successes: I received a positive assessment from the test and gained wide acceptance of colleagues … and I think I got to like mathematics.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
