Description of the Experience
During extra-curricular classes of science we created with the teacher model showing the functioning of the lungs and diaphragm. We got the necessary materials and worked according to instructions. Half of the plastic bottle served as the ribs. At its top we put the "windpipe" of straws connected to the balloon - the "lungs" - situated inside the bottle. On the lower part of the bottle we put "diaphragm" - a piece of rubber cut from latex gloves. When we pulled the "diaphragm", "balloon lungs" filled with air. When we set free the rubber membrane, the air was going out of the balloon. This great model proved that diaphragm is important when breathing. Thanks to this I understood and remembered it without a problem.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
