Description of the Experience
Chemistry is useful –I have never known why the water we drink has sometimes a strange taste. Chemistry helped me explain some facts I was curious about. Speaking about the strange taste this is because chlorine is used to purify water. This substance is also used to bleach textiles, which means that in high concentrations chlorine is toxic. The experiment that we did on this occasion was relevant: we tested the chlorine levels of several water samples and we used the test kit to measure the chlorine level for each sample. I’ll be more careful in the future when I drink water with a funny taste.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
