Description of the Experience
Urinalysis was conducted by several colleagues in my class. Each of them had been eating a diet three days assigned by the teacher. There were four types of diet: high protein, low protein, salt and sugar. We had to figure out how it would affect food in the results of urinalysis.
For the analysis we used a laboratory reagents and a commercial test strips. We determined that the urea was very high in the high protein diet and the urine pH was more acid.
We observe microscopic urinary sediment and also had different crystals depending on the type of diet. In the high-protein diet had a greater amount of crystals.
We found that many parameters modified food urine and misfeeds could reach disrupting the function of kidneys

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
