Description of the Experience
With some lemons and two electrodes and a small amount of current is achieved.
The experiment consists in boring a lemon for two distant sites to put a piece of copper in a hole and a galvanized screw into the other hole of the same lemon. Lemon copper binds with another galvanized screw lemon, by a wire making a circuit. In a lemon will be free copper and another will be free lemon galvanized screw. These free ends are joined by a wire carrying a small light bulb that lights up as soon as the circuit is closed.
An electrochemical reaction occurs mediated by lemon juice between copper and screw electrodes and that reaction generates a small amount of electric current.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
