Description of the Experience
Equal volumes of water and oil was weighed. After we applied the density formula and saw that the oil was less dense than water, although it looked thicker.
After I sprayed water and oil into a cup, and there was always removíamos oil above water.
We tried to add different objects in the glass and put a piece of lead and a cork. We saw that the lead was sinking and floating cork.
It was a very useful experience because I could understand that a solid had more density than a liquid, but it was not clear liquids also have different densities. I learned that the density does not depend on the physical state depends only on the mass and volume.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
