Description of the Experience
Science can be difficult but experiments can make it fun. We once had a lot of fun and we learned a lot by making a tornado! We used a bottle and washing liquid and we had a tornado in a bottle. We filled the bottle with water (three quarters) and then we put a few drops of dish washing liquid; we capped the bottle, turned it upside down and span it in a circular direction. Soon what we saw was a tornado! Spinning the bottle in a circular motion creates a water vortex, which is a mini tornado. We spoke about vortexes found in nature: tornadoes, hurricanes and waterspouts (a tornado that forms over water).

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
