Description of the Experience
At the lesson of ICT topic of Algorithms was introduced. It turned out that this is a very interesting question, because any action taken in our life can be presented in the form of an algorithm. I got to know three methods of describing algorithms: a list of steps, a flowchart and pseudo-code. The main problem I encountered with the learning algorithms presented in the form of pseudo-code was to understand the programming language. Formulas that are needed to create such algorithms can be compared with the phrases in the language of a certain country. If you want to have the freedom of expression, and have efficient communication, simple translation of the text is not enough. It is necessary to shift the course of thought to another set of reflections of the word. Our work becomes more creative and we can almost play with new formulas. However, such a change in mindset is not easy; and it is so much difficult in this case, that commonly saying I could not get accustomed to the language algorithms. You need a lot of hours of practice to manage it.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
