Description of the Experience
New topic was introduced at ICT classes: Computer Networks. It turned out that this is a very interesting issue, because you can get familiar with general rules for operations and transfer of data between computers. The teacher started the lesson by introducing the concepts such as: computer networks, protocols, IP address, and acquainted us with the structure of the data and introduced two network models: OSI and TCP / IP. I had difficulty to understand why to transfer data across the network layers are required in models and that each layer works with different protocols. I spent a lot of time searching for information on the Internet, checking the available books and repeatedly talked to the teacher to clarify issues of my interest. Finally, I realized that the sense of the creation of computer networks was to improve and bring a higher level of communication and data sharing in the world (it works practically in the whole world). The network allows quick and easy access to the published data, as well as opens the technical ability to create and use common resources.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
