Description of the Experience
One of the last math lessons - we had in 6th grade was a lesson during which we built regular polygons in the schoolyard.
We practiced previously in the computer lab and teacher said, 'you need to know structures by heart, because you will be doing it without hints and on the grass". Nobody knew what was going on, and the structures were not easy.
When we walked onto the grass we received flour, twine and nails (30 cm long) from our teacher. The beginning was terrible. Teacher walked from one group to another and helped to make the first regular pentagon, because no one could understand and create a circle without a calipers. But later it somehow went better. We were tired, but constructions on the grass looked great, and I remember, and I now can make the construction of a regular polygon on the grass.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
