Description of the Experience
The teacher of Chemistry explained that there are many hazardous reagents in the laboratory and could not mix the reagents we wanted. Even some reagent mixing with water could become dangerous and to prove he did a demonstration.

He took a wee bit of sodium and put it in water. That quickly exploded and we were very surprised because we did not expect. From there and we put more attention to practical protocols.

After the experimente the teacher explained the properties of sodium and exothermic reactions that we we could find in our experiences. He also explained that if sulfuric acid drop on us we must not wash with water because it produces a burn, we should first dry sulfuric and then wash with water. It was very interesting.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
