Description of the Experience
I wanted to know how so electrons sometimes have positive and sometimes negative spin in the atom shell. The teacher said it is difficult to explain the reason for that without explaining quantum mechanics, but that the different spins are the reason for the possibilities of electrons to make connections.
When, in the vast majority of atoms a single electron with a positive spin, and another with negative spin “meet”, only in this case, two electrons can form electron pair or covalent bond. If the electron spins of the two are the same, they cannot be paired, i.e., cannot form a single pair of electrons and atoms cannot connect.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
