Description of the Experience
Mathematics is a subject that is often difficult for many students, but I think its difficulty is not so much linked to the type of school or topics, but the type of education that is offered and the teacher’s ability to catch students’ attention. Among the various topics studied what I found to be applicable in other areas concerns the equations. In this regard, the one that most made me open my eyes was attending a conference starring Alfio Quarteroni entitled "Mathematics in health and sport." It was a presentation intended to make it clear that this discipline has been and always will be very useful in all fields, particularly medicine and sport. [...] I was particularly touched by the fact that equation, which until that time had considered only abstract thing, could be used to study the blood flow in the vessels. In this way, I realized that the equations can be used to solve all those problems that require a quantitative answer, whether it's problems of mathematics , technical, scientific , economic, financial , as well as problems that affect daily life.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
