Description of the Experience
Transmission of nerve impulses from neuron to neuron by neuron and muscle cell happens through a special structure called synapse. This structure is formed by the membrane of the end portion of the axon and part of the next cell. Between the two membranes exists close unicellular space of the axon of the neuron, in which the cross pulses. This space is separated mediator - mostly acetylcholine. The mediator is bound to the membrane of the next cell and turns it. Thus it transmits nerve impulses from neuron to neuron or muscle cell.
For the comprehension of this I built a model of a synapse. Using the following materials - Plasticine by which I made the branches of the axon and the cell receiving impulses colored in blue, red Plasticine for mediator. All this set on a wooden stand.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
