Description of the Experience
Teaching professional subjects to the students of the specialty 'Programming technician ' I have noticed that students are not keen on their future chosen profession.Sometimes they choose their profession according to the suggestions of friends and parents , but in reality they are not suitable for specific studying in this speciality. Therefore they lack suficient motivation for studying specific areas.
1. The other problem is insufficient previous level because they start studying my subject during senior years ( year 3 and year 4) when they have already acquired the basis of programming . If it has been unsuccessful , but the student has been moved up to the next year, he has great difficulties in following the new study material.
In order to avoid these problems , I organise my lessons the following way :
1. I work out electronical study materials ( lectures and training tasks) and put them in the e -study media( in order to make it easier for students to study in their own speed and also study omitted material .
2. I try to vary my teaching methods combining traditional frontal methods , group work and differentiating tasks.
3. I try to inspire the students and make a positive study media even at the smallest study achievements , individually working with talented and perspective students facilitating their profesional growth.
4. I organize meetings with the representatives of the industry ( study year 2013/2014 it was ''Accenture Latvia'''which gives the students their own forecast about the topical questions of the profession.I also use these meetings to talk about the study content and then actualise it.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
