Description of the Experience
In this practice, students can be divided into groups for determining blood types and creating transfusion model between the different blood types.
Students are divided into small groups, and each group should have: a test plate of blood groups A, B, AB and O coded with numbers and test serum (this can be provided by blood transfusion centers); sheet with guidelines for the operations (which may be previously discussed by the teacher) and cardboard image where it is made visible the agglutination characteristic of all blood groups.
Students conduct experiments and determine the blood groups. Then they compare with the card, which shows the agglutination characteristic for all blood groups.
Finally they prepare a transfusion pattern.

The proposed practice is very interesting for me, it helps to understand differences between blood types. It's wonderful that the blood transfusion centres provide blood.
This experience allows to connect theorical concepts with real life.
My experience in this field leads me to confirm the efectiveness of this method, the interest of students can be increased if they would be able to analyze their own blood.
In my school blood can't be provided, so my students only analize blood types virtually.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
