Zinev Art Technologies Ltd. has been established in the beginning of 2005 with the purpose of developing, implementing and managing European projects and providing consultations and training in the following spheres: Internet-based activities, vocational training, EU projecting, culture, art, tourism. Vocational training and increasing the qualifications of the human resources are major factors for improving the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises and for strengthening the capacities of the non-profit non-governmental sector. Understanding these necessities ZAT participates in a number of initiatives, connected with provision of training and consultancy services for different target groups: SMEs or persons, willing to start up their own initiatives; NGOs; education and training institutions; public authorities.

Another sustainable line of activity is the establishment of public-private partnerships with Bulgarian municipalities for the purpose of projects development and implementation consultancy. EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE OF THE ORGANIZATION IN THE PROJECT’S SUBJECT AREA ZAT has the necessary capacities and experiences in relation to the objectives of the “Gerudio” project, since:
  • It has access to an active network of schools and training institutions, including vocational high schools, which already have years of experiences in involvement in international projects and collaboration with partners and schools from the EU;
  • It has built, tested and is currently applying a successful approach in organizing the participation of particular active parties on behalf of the involved schools
  • teachers, trainers, students, headmasters, psychologists;
  • It has already participated in projects focusing on problems of motivation and development of educational practices in schools;
  • It has a team of experts, who have been involved in activities directed at studying youth training needs and suggesting approaches and methods for development of successful training programs, based on innovative pedagogical approaches, but also paying special attention to matching the needs of the labor market with the services offered by the educational system;
  • ZAT is an experienced organization with a broad scope of collaborators and partners within the country and abroad, which will be made available for the benefit of the project;
  • ZAT has experienced experts, who know the educational system; actively participate as teachers and trainers, but also as evaluators of such educational practices and products and who will be involved in the Gerudio project.
CONTRIBUTIONS THAT CAN BE PROVIDED TO THE PROJECT
  • Expert staff, fully aware about and understanding the problems, addressed in the project. It is important to point out that the experts involved in the project are working also as teachers and trainers. Hence they know the problems from inside; since they are also problems they have experienced themselves in their practice. It is an important point when it comes to the sensitive part of working with teachers and trainers, trying to make them work for the updating of their knowledge and practices;
  • The already built network of partners ZAT has is a key factor for the successful involvement of teachers, trainers and students. As part of previous initiatives ZAT has worked quite successfully with the target groups managing to provoke and keep their interest not only in a project framework, but also for a long period after that.
  • ZAT has worked on many studies and research analyses of the educational framework not only in Bulgaria but also on European level.
  • ZAT has a wide range of European partners that can also be involved in the current project.
REASONS OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROJECT Bulgaria is a country where the problem of lack of motivation of secondary and vocational education students in studying scientific related topics is very serious and it consequently leads to insufficient results students achieve during their school curricula. The latest PISA study, focused on mathematics and sciences for the year 2012) shows that Bulgarian students are last in Europe in terms of functional literacy, which puts them on 47th place out of 65 developed countries in the world. Bulgarian students are way below average of competences compared to their peers from Europe.

In many projects and initiatives ZAT has been working with teachers/trainers to enhance their capacity in updating their teaching methods in order to promote the interest of their students toward educational subjects (scientific studying issues included). It is a process that is still running and evolving. Recently experts from ZAT took part in a study related to evaluation of teaching and training practices, namely because we believe that there is a lot of work to be done in that area. Bulgarian teachers are open to innovative practices, especially when it comes to motivating students and updating their methodological and pedagogical practices, but just small part of them has access to such resources of information or exchange of practices with their colleagues from Europe. ZAT is interested to broaden the scope of popularity of good practices among wider range of teachers and trainers and work with them and the learners to develop more effective learning, which leads to better performance results.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
