BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Latvian Printers’ Association „Latvijas Poligrāfijas uzņēmumu asociācija” (LPUA) was officially registered in 1997. Currently there are 48 members – printing houses, graphic art suppliers, paper merchants and graphic art school.
We have our own magazine ‘’Iespiedgrafika’’ published since 1998. In 4 issues annually, „Iespiedgrafika” covers art and industry, people and machines, events and technologies.
Every summer Association holds industry wide sports event, which is now more than a tradition
Since 1998 we are members of Latvian Packaging Association.
Since 2006 - Member of Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK).
Since 2008 - Member of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
Our main goals are:
·Represent our members’ interests at all levels
·Promote growth strategies within printing industry
·Develop public opinion about industry
·Facilitate development of graphic arts education in Latvia

Tasks we are working on:
·Consolidate industry players to mutual benefit
·Work closely with state institutions in all areas related to printing industry: legislation, standardization, education and others
·Represent industry interests on municipal and state level, cooperate with local and international industry organizations and media.
·Defend industry and members’ interests in economic and legal cases
·Promote graphic industry as an attractive branch for employees
·Support development of professional education
·Involve our industry experts in professional problem solutions

Structure
The highest decision-making body of LPUA is participants’ general meeting.
Elected board (7 persons) takes actions based on those decisions. Revision committee looks after how that is done.
Daily functions are in the hands of executive director.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
