Description of the initiative
The aim of the project is to develop pictography and strengthening the foundations necessary for a fuller and better understanding of the symbolic language of mathematics students by helping to create an educational environment that enables them to self-construction of selected elements of mathematical knowledge, including developing skills deliberate use of symbolic language.
The final product: Educational "We play pictograms" prepared in 3 versions for grades 1-3, 4-6 primary school and lower secondary school. The final product consists of:
1) Guide for teachers presenting educational philosophy of the project.
2) scenarios of classes of materials DVD and work cards.
4) Sets of assistance to the student and the teacher in the computer programs.
5) Game Packs DVD and housing research with scientific publications.
6) Trainings for teacher training centres.

The website contains well-prepared materials from the scope of the symbolic language of mathematics. E-learning course for teachers was developed. https://moodle.projekt-piktografia.pl/. It makes it easier to work with the package "We play pictograms", which can be used in primary and secondary schools, in order to better understand the math and use it in practice.

Teachers’ Opinion
Project developed interesting lesson plans and teaching aids for learning mathematics. The involvement of children stimulates their activity and independence of children in problem solving. Thanks to team plays students learn to work in a group. The project can help to develop students' interest and motivation to learn.
Students’ Opinion
Learning through play is much more interesting. The project has created interesting games and applications. This allows you to learn how to count. Project website is pretty cool, and includes nice materials.

This initiative is very important and necessary to get students' interest in mathematics. Show the mathematics from the other side. Thanks to ideas that I found on the website www.piktografia.pl you can show that mathematics is useful. I hope that this will motivate students to learn science. I intend to use pictograms on my lessons.

Ta inicjatywa jest niezwykle ważna i potrzebna aby w interesujący sposób zaciekawić uczniów matematyką. Pokazać im ją od innej strony. Dzięki pomysłom, które znalazłam na stronie internetowej www.piktografia.pl można pokazać, że matematyka się przydaje. Mam nadzieje, że to zmotywuje uczniów do nauki przedmiotów ścisłych. Mam zamiar wykorzystać piktogramy na swoich lekcjach.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
