Description of the initiative
The aim of the project is to increase interest in the physics of high school students and to encourage them to study at technical specialisations.
The final product: An innovative curriculum using educational video games and games developed in flash technology. The final product consists of:
1) The innovative physics curriculum for secondary schools in line with the new core curriculum.
2) User's Guide - Teacher
3) User's Guide - for the student
4) Set 118 educational video games in high definition (HD) compatible with the new core curriculum.
5) Set 100 educational flash games tailored to the topics of physics education.
6) Set of 30 HD videos presenting the physical phenomena, the camera recorded a speed event.
7) Set of 10 HD movies made in the convention interesting facts about the practical applications of physics.

Teacher:
Initiative, which includes educational videos and a user manual for teachers and pupils, complements the content of physics education, encourages pupils through these games to study science and technical subjects. Especially useful is visualization of scientific knowledge in a form which is acceptable to students. It could be used for example for practicing during the lessons of physics or as an after school course activities.
• What do you think are the possibilities of the selected project to be successful in increasing students' interest in studying science subjects?

Student - group of students - 2. class
Using video games students will like physics more; they create a positive image of the so-called difficult subjects, which physics is. They can use them within their free time and thus it motivates them to learn science and technical subjects.

I personally totally agree with the combination of teaching physics and video games. Some of the teachers or parents will think that this is a waste of time. But I think that very easy physics phenomenon can be explained through this method, which is very friendly for the young generation. It is a great way to attract them. I was very happy to see that there are educators in the same consent with me, and that they even implement the idea and transfer it into a project. From the description of the project I understood that they created beside a quite big package of video resources, also guidelines for teachers and students. I would be very interested to see the resources; it is a pity that are available only in Polish. I would like to start a partnership with a group of teachers and students to develop this kind of resources for a worldwide coverage. The strengths of the project are on the visualization of scientific knowledge learnt in classrooms and the development of life skills (logical/ critical thinking) through science through challenging games.
Being in the project idea, I would like to share with you a very inspiring article and a great blog for physics teachers and learners:

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
