Description of the initiative
Inspiring Science provides teachers and students with resources that can be used in the science classroom. Through the Inspiring Science portal one can access online, interactive tools and resources from all over the world that can be used for science teaching. The resources also include templates, scenarios and methodologies to support science teachers and teacher trainers in their drive to make science teaching more exciting, fun and relevant for students.
More Information
Inspiring Science Education is providing the tools to make science education more challenging, more playful and more imaginative. It provides a number of resources for teachers and students on all subjects in the curricula related to science. There number of resources to be found at the following link: http://www.inspiring-science-education.net/showcases
The showcases cover astronomy, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. What is good in this portal is that it offers learning scenarios teachers can use directly. For example learning scenario for green and renewable energy: http://www.inspiring-science-education.org/sites/default/files/1_34_Renewable%2C%20Green%2C%20Clean%20Wind%20energy%20and%20solar%20energy.pdf
or for Ionic concentrations of acids and bases in a workbench simulation: http://www.inspiringscience.eu/sites/default/files/1_23%20Ionic%20concentrations%20of%20acids%20and%20bases%20in%20a%20workbench%20simulation.pdf
Teachers’ Opinion
The initiative is good, has a lot of material, but the topics that are covered are quite specific. The resources can be used in particular classes, when the subject theme is studied (for example molecule movement of the gases) but it will be hard to be fully integrated in the Bulgarian curricula in sciences.
Students’ Opinion
Everything is available in English and despite it is interesting it is hard to understand everything, especially in the scientific language used. May be if a teacher works with us, using the resources and explains us the examples in Bulgarian it will be more helpful practice.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
