Description of the initiative
A teaching tool provides electrical engineering profile electrical systems and power profile by students of electrical networks and systems, electrical systems and automation engineering expertise, as well as other specialties for electrical engineering students. At about relay protection, automation, network neutral operating modes, the compensation system and its automation, measuring instruments and electrical equipment inventory given the terms, definitions and references to European and Latvian normative documents. Teaching aids presented actionable formulas, as well as provides an overview of typical calculations using spreadsheets. Teaching aids are described in detail in the medium voltage distribution network used to relay protection and automation equipment, dispatch control system, as well as looks at 0.4kV-20kV network used for instrument transformers, test equipment, measuring instruments, power equipment inventory, provide comprehensive information on the equipment and the personnel involved in servicing obligations by operating activities in accordance with the Latvian energy standards, LEK 002.

This learning tool is prepared brochure / book for students who study in Railway Chapter their specialty subjects. This material can be used for both teacher and student. It reveales information on specific terms, explanations with pictures that may help in the learning process.

I am a teacher and I teach with railway related subjects. I use this book in my lessons. I like that it is also available in electronic format, thus students may read and learn at home. Students can use the text from this book to work in groups, for analyzing the complex specific terms, for independent work and for learning during lessons, as well at home.
Students’ Opinion
Usually teacher used this book in the lessons and offer some tasks from it. Sometimes when something is not clear in theory, then I read this book myself. It contains explanations and definitions that are easy to understand. Also images included in the book helps us to understand better.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
