Description of the initiative
the European Researchers' Nights are events dedicated to popular science and fun learning. They are an opportunity to meet researchers, talk to them, and to find out what they really do for society, in interactive and engaging ways. This can be through hands-on experiments, science shows, learning activities for children, guided visits of research labs, science quizzes and more.

The European Researchers' Night takes place every year all over Europe and beyond the last Friday of September. In 2014, these popular science events are happening on Friday 26 September in around 300 cities located in 24 European and neighbouring countries.

This initiative is excellent. Specially because it seems that it is spreading through many cities around Europe, and it is being consolidated.

This activity gives young people the chance to actually meet a researcher or scientist. Something that they may know from books or movies. This may lead to children getting motivated to become scientist themselves.

I'm quite confident that this initiative will get popularized and spread to many more cities.

Everuthing starts with the family. If the family goes to these events , the children are interested to know more about science . In the future the children will not abhore science lessons.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
