Description of the initiative
These include ‘mobility’ initiatives enabling students aged between 15 and 18 years old to train in another country. Teenagers will have the opportunity to work in a professional environment in different countries across Europe at an institute focused on Informatics skills.
You can only participate once as a student but the experience of improving your knowledge in different computer programs and getting to know a country’s culture through Leonardo’s cultural and linguistic training is a priceless moment in your life.
Activities done during the mobility period were based on familiarization with the basics of technical drawing, learning to work with different tools and representations, at the end of the first week simulating a day in the life of a drafter. As students, the participants created several plans with these tools – 2 and 3 D, and the most important achievement was making a representation of their school class way in which they incorporated as many details as possible. They also managed to learn how to adjust the size, to establish building materials and to visualize the product in various ways
(perspective, axonometric etc.)
More Information
We are in close connection with the National College of Iasi by giving support and counseling the staff to develop and apply for EU projects. Let’s Soft IT! it is a best practice example of the work done by the school staff to create a proper environment and opportunities for students to develop their competences and to get prepared for the world of work. Mobility activities for students had a great impact on the students’ development and offered them the chance to share experiences and know how things are going on, on different countries, the cultural exchange is very important. Throughout these experiences students gains not only improvements of the informatics skills, but also professional, communication and interaction skills, and language and cultural competences. These kind of projects and activities stimulate students to get more involved, to pay more attention to the IT discipline, to connect better the things learned in class with the real life and work life. We encourage teachers and school managers to develop mobility activities and projects for students to motivate their learning process.
Teachers’ Opinion
The project is very worthwhile because it gives students a firsthand experience both professional and cultural. Many young college students are interested in programming and the fact that they can really work in a company makes them see details and perspectives they can get exclusively through direct work experience. The informatics class is thus enriched with a dimension that may facilitate professional choices.
Students’ Opinion
My sister participated in such an exchange organized by the National College of Iasi. She designed the digital library of her school and she was so proud to show how creative herself and her team proved to be when doing this. Not only academic and technological knowledge was exercised but also team work, intercultural sharing and decision making were skills my sister appreciated very much upon return from her Hamburg experience.

It's a project focused in two programs for architectural design. Its aims are very specific and the target too.
But the mobility is always good and, for the comments, it seems one of the most important objectives of the project.
