Description of the initiative
Interesting Chemistry Academy is an educational initiative of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Lodz. Initiative is addressed to secondary school students. In the framework of the Academy special lectures covering selected topics from different departments subject of Chemistry are conducted. They are enriched by multimedia demonstrations and experiments
carried 'live'.

Interesting Chemistry Academy is a very good initiative carried out by the University of Lodz. It presents chemistry in appealing way with relations to examples to real life. The promotional aspect is also very important - to
overcome the stereotype of boring science. Students can special lectures covering selected topics from different departments of Chemistry. They are conducted by high quality academic teachers. The list of lectures is published on the website http://www.chemia.uni.lodz.pl/ciekawachemia.html
They lectures are enriched by multimedia demonstrations and experiments
carried so to present topics in more and appealing effective way.
Teachers’ Opinion
The initiative of the Faculty of Chemistry is valuable. The programme of lectures is interesting. It presents how knowledge of chemistry can be used in practical way. Faculty of Chemistry has adequate laboratories and well trained staff to show students interesting scientific experiments. This is a good way to organize extra-curricular, complementary activities not covered by the program.
Students’ Opinion
The lectures organized within the Academy are interesting. Thanks to the presentations and classes in laboratories it is easier to remember chemical issues. It's a good way to explore topics that are not discussed in detail in our school.

The initiative of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Lodz expands the student's view on chemistry science. They see that interest on chemistry have not only their teachers but also other scientists and faculty staff. It widened their opinion about the subject.
I plan to invite the guest lecturers for my chemistry classes to prevent routine at lessons.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
