Description of the initiative
Bulgarian portal of video lessons and interactive exercises in science subjects: free directory for teachers and students. There is a forum for teachers, students and parents to communicate on difficulties in the science education process in school. Ucha.se is announced as the best educational website for 2012 and 2013.
More Information
UCHA.SE is a web portal with video lessons for all subjects in the curricula in BG schools, including science subjects. The video lessons in Chemistry can be found here: http://ucha.se/videos/himiya/
Physics: http://ucha.se/videos/fizika/
Mathematics: http://ucha.se/videos/matematika/
Biology: http://ucha.se/videos/matematika/
There are many strong sides of the portal, which for several years in a row help it win the prize for best educational site. The portal offers video lessons which are made from teachers or students and difficult topics are explained in a very understandable and funny way, which students like. Furthermore the portal offers possibilities for teachers, students and parents to communicate and help themselves in solving difficult problems in the education process. Another huge portal of resources ucha.se offers is http://ucha.se/motiviramse/ where students, teachers, parents and experts share their views on how to make the educational process more attractive, beneficial and effective. It offers a number of interesting resources as to how to learn to read faster, how knowledge acquired in school can be used in different professions, and many, many more.
Teachers’ Opinion
I have used this website in my practice a lot, because students find the video lessons attractive and more easily understandable than standard lessons. The website is very good, because it allows teachers to communicate with students through the forum and it also allows teachers to communicate between them. A good side of the website is that it covers all topics from the curricula in science subjects.
Students’ Opinion
Ucha.se is one of my favourite websites. I learn very easily from it. The video lessons are made in a funny, attractive and easy to comprehend way. I can also use the website to ask from help from teachers and other students when I have difficulties understanding something or when I want help to solve a problem.

I think the site is very well structured and its easy to find the necessary information. Also a big plus is the forum because if someone did not understand something he may ask help from teachers or other students to explain further.

The educational portal has a highly original approach to presenting information to students in a variety of fields: chemistry, mathematics, physics and others. With video lessons the portal managed to explain the material that can be difficult to understand in school in a very interesting way. I am personally a user of this educational portal and I have always been pleased with the information received.

I would never choose to learn from video lessons, unless I am ill and I cannot go to school.

The site has very useful information that is only for the benefit of those who decide to use it. The way in which the lessons are provided facilitates the comprehension of even the most difficult lesson.

Understandable and interesting educational video tutorials on all subjects, including language learning. Cons: no possibility of access to all videos - monetary support or "moral support" - (advertising in social networks) is required. Pros: Short, easily perceived lessons by the students, supporting the learning process. Most importantly, the site appeals to students, they take it and watch with interest.

This education portal is a set of video tutorials, which facilitate learning of students.I think learning this way is better because everything is clearly presented and you can watch it again and again until you learn.
I've used such practices years ago.

The site is very complete, there is a lot of information, but information is never enough.
This type of site can be very valuable for students, but should be compatible with all devices (smart TV, computers, tablets and phones).

The site has a great design, really memorable. I most lik video lessons because it is so much easier to learn things by watching real examples, I really like being in the virtual classroom. In terms of material the website has a very wide range, for all grades and subjects.

Very interesting portal, the information presented is well explained and there is a playful touch in it. The lack of rigorous academic style makes the presented information pleasant and I think that is more easily absorbed by the students. Opportunities for communication through a forum further facilitate the learning process. This makes the site an indispensable assistant of the teacher in his work. I regularly recommend it to my students.

I was having a look at several initiatives when I came to this. After the initial disappointment of not understanding anything, I was amazed by the beautiful presentation and layout of this website.

For a moment I didn't even remember what languaje was it. I was curious and red again it was bulgarian. Thankfully I have a bulgarian student in my class (higher levels of ICT vocational training ) which I get on. I asked him to assist me in doing a tour through the web pages and explain them to me. (Thanks Stanislav)

I must say that this is a great initiative. Excellent presentation, and nice videos. It seems quite diverse as to how many subjects and levels it covers. And seems to be working towards including more lessons.

Congrats to the authors.

Ucha.se is a video platform that aims to facilitate students to comprehend faster and easier the studied topics in school.
For each subject and grade there are video lessons prepared. Thus it can be useful not only for teenagers, but also for smaller kids. It saves a lot of time, because in the videos everything is being illustrated and explained in the simplest way.Using this website you can have access to the the essence of the material, but with well explained information and additional materials from school. There are absolute all lessons that we might need.Using Ucha.se you can spend a lot more time for other things than studying. In conclusion I can say Ucha.se is a very useful companion in school.

- Portal is very precisely done; it covers the whole curriculum of the schools (including science subjects). It has very nice and attractive design. Educational videos are made by teachers themselves; explanations of the subject matter are clear, understandable and illustrative. It is also very funny, what is attractive for pupils. It is a pity that educational videos are not also in English. However, I see a big positive there; the portal is the evidence that teachers can create quality educational videos. Problematic topics (e.g. chemical calculations) are explained in a very good illustrative way; Slovak teachers should not have a problem to use it within their lessons.
- The management of the whole portal has very motivating character – pleasant and attractive background, quality educational materials, possibility to test gained knowledge.
- Yes, I like the portal a lot, although it is in Bulgarian.

Student:
The chosen topics can certainly arouse the interest of the students toward learning chemistry. The only problem I see is the language - pupils wouldn’t be able to understand the subject matter properly.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
