Description of the initiative
The main aim of Claudio Cancelli’s website is to provide didactical support to teachers of Electronics, Telecommunications, Maths and Physics. To reach its purpose the website collects APPLETS and LEARNING OBJECTS integrating them in class or in laboratorial courses.
The use of applets and learning objects is intended to facilitate the learning process. An applet is any small application that performs one specific task that runs within the scope of a dedicated widget engine or a larger program, often as a plug-in. They are interactive simulators requiring Java and Flash Player platforms to run. While the learning objects are didactical units for the e-learning.
The selection of these tools is made among those provided by the best universities, research centres and schools in the world. Therefore, the use of these tools requires online connected computers.
Even if the interface is in Italian, the links of the tools refer to the original website of the applets with a wide choice of available languages.
The didactical offering of the website is completed with further resources (laboratorial exercitations, didactical handout, monographical description…).
Moreover, the website provides also training courses for school institutions and educational organisations needing to keep update with the new techonologies on Information and Communcation Thechnology or on the New Generation Networks.
More Information
This initiative is relevant especially for a schematic and essential approach. The website contents are deduced from author’s production or from the material’s review, currently online.
The selection is done from the website’s creator based on its own need as teacher and professional.
Therefore, every necessity of many professionals, who will visit these pages, will be satisfied.
The portal supplies didactical supports for some interesting integrations for the classrooms lessons and for electronic, telecommunications, mathematics, physics, science and chemistry laboratory.
With reference to these subjects, for example merely descriptive materials can be quoted (like a guidebook to write laboratory’s technical relations http://www.claudiocancelli.it/modelli_template/Modello_di_relazione.pdf) or useful tool (as the seasons simulator http://www.claudiocancelli.it/web_education/scienze/seasons_ecliptic.swf).

I think this website is rich of interesting suggestions for teachers who needs new ideas to motivate their students.
I particularly appreciate the applets about order of magnitudes.
I'm going to use it next time I'll start a Physics' course

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
