Description of the initiative
The website provides a wide selection of applications inspired to the didactics and, in particular, to the didactis of Physics. Among the variety of applications, the authors of WebLab have chosen those one that were the most suitable to gear a virtual lab likewise WebLab.
Each page of the portal has an applet, the instruction for the usage, the needing key knowledge on Physics and Maths and optionally a brief theoretical description and/or exercises related to the specific study case. There are also the instructions on how the applet can be downloaded into the computer and used on off-line mode.
The most part of the pages of this website are the Italian adaptation of the pages originally written in other languages. For this reason, it is necessary to consider them as continuously work-in-progress pages.
Each user is invited to participate to “work” sharing comments and alerting whenever he/she faces an error or imprecisions.
Surfing on WebLab is also available for disabled people. Unfortunately, this is not always available for the applet and the didactical activities hosted on the website. The authors will set this lack with the next upgrade.
More Information
The operators of Italian school’s world reported laboratories not adequately equipped. This initiative can be considered as an instrument to provide for structural lacks of local schools.
The “laboratorio virtuale” [virtual laboratory] grows for the physics and the majority of available material concerns to this subject, like the applet about “moto armonico e moto circolare uniforme” [harmonious motion and circular uniform motion] presented at the link: http://ww2.unime.it/dipart/i_fismed/wbt/ita/fkw/shm/shm_ita.htm.
In this website, user can find not only expendable tools as substitutes of the laboratory, but physics frames, like mathematics applet “giochiamo con Gauss” [let’s play with Gauss] (http://ww2.unime.it/dipart/i_fismed/wbt/ita/Gauss/) that allows to solve a system composed by a maximum of 10 equations in 10 variables.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
