Description of the initiative
The term "mechatronics" may be considered a phenomenon that has technological, economic, organizational and social aspects that concern the management and evolution of complex technical and organizational processes that make products and/or services.
The specific objectives of the project were:
• to improve the educational training organization in the field of science and technology;
• to improve the creativity and the professionalism of teachers and students and their scientific-technological culture;
• to study and implement a moving mechanical interface on two axes so as to maximize reception of solar energy in every moment;
• to receive recognition at the European level of knowledge and competences.
The envisaged impact: making laboratory experiences engaging and effective - using advanced tools, implementing and demonstrating the knowledge and skills with multidisciplinary projects, using modern software support - pathways to Higher Education and/or labour market on content and strategic themes.
Product Types:
website
modules
program or curricula
CD-ROM
More Information
On-line theoretical and practical training in the field of mechatronic meets the demands of the companies in different European countries. At the same time, the idea of the project promotes studying the subject using ICT resources, thus improving the quality and efficiency of education.
Teachers’ Opinion
The profession of mechatronic is considered to be one of the most perspective ones in many countries nowadays and offers many opportunities for those interested. The e-course in mechatronics introduced by the project promotes a new method of training for this profile, and this will help a lot those interested in specializing themselves in this field of activity.
Students’ Opinion
The idea of the project is very good and it will probably lead to a positive status of the profession in our modern society. The fact that the practical training will take place in a laboratory is important as it sustains the idea of using ICT resources in the learning proces.

Mechatronics is where computer, control, electronic and mechanical systems all intersect. The world around us today has really become a complex system of systems. More importantly, it’s really about humans interacting with these different systems which are all coming together.
This project offers us the opportunity to better understand concepts, technologies and products that contribute to satisfy the energy needs at the lowest price.
The online course in mechatronics proposed by this project brings a new training method for this profile which will greatly help those who want to specialize in this area. It will help those interested to know the use of new energetic sources, to improve the decisional process, increase the technological competence and promote the knowledge transfer and technologies in energetic fields.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
