Description of the initiative
The shortage of engineers in micro- nano-systems and the systematic decrease of students in electronics at the university can be a threat to the European economy competitiveness.
This project is aimed at adapting and integrating innovative performance-centred training approach and courses from previous Leonardo da Vinci and Socrates/Minerva projects, into vocational education and training organisations and SMEs in micro-systems Technologies. The focus is on the transfer of innovation in two new countries: Romania and Bulgaria and in the multidisciplinary area of micro-systems.
The primary target groups concerned are: professionals from SME in electronics and micro-systems, students in engineering education and vocational schools, educated but unemployed people (e.g. engineers, physicists) looking for additional training for employment.
Within OnLineMath&Sciences a learning platform for stand-alone learning, simulations, group-working at a distance was created, full courses in mathematics and sciences for the first two years of university education were designed and implemented in the regular curricula.

More Information
The project tries to meet a need in terms of employment by adapting and integrating innovative performance-centred training approaches and courses from previous Leonardo da Vinci and Socrates/Minerva projects and transferring the results obtained to vocational education and training organisations and SMEs in micro-systems Technologies. .
Teachers’ Opinion
The fact that the main target groups of the project are employees of SMEs specialized in electronics and microsystems, students at technical universities, vocational schools and technological high schools, as well as unemployed specialists opens the perspective of Romania’s huge potential in IT and electronics.
Students’ Opinion
A great project especially if you are looking for a job in electronics and micro-systems.

Dissemination Seminar in Florence

31 October 2015 The seminar has been held in ITIS “A. Meucci” one of the schools involved within Goerudio project activities. Its main aim was to promote the results of the project toward a broad sample of stakeholders even overcrossing the number of people directly involved in the production of project outcomes. This purpose has been totally achieved especially thanks to the participation of students and teachers coming from different schools or from other classes instead of those ones directly involved within the project activities.
